On this page you will find lots of information about SEND at Thurlton Primary school and how what we offer fits with the larger picture of SEND in Norfolk.

Our SEND policy forms part of the NORFOLK LOCAL OFFER for SEND.

The Local Offer is an Authority’s publication of all the provision they expect to be available across education, health and social care for children and young people in their area who have SEND.

More information on the local offer can be found at:

Our SEND POLICY supports our whole school vision that children are accepted equally.

We work in the best interests of every child and we are committed to a policy of inclusion.

Our aims for SEND are:

We aim to provide a positive learning experience for all, with all pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) being able to access a broad and balanced curriculum.

We endeavour to raise the aspirations and expectations of all pupils, including those with SEND, by working collaboratively with Parents/Carers, through regular contact and engagement and listening to the voice of the pupil. Our work will always be child-centred with the views of the pupil taken into account in light of their age and understanding.
