Opening of our EYFS Outdoor Area

Monday was the opening of our EYFS Outdoor Area. As you may know Dave Taylor from Heart Radio was due to host the opening but due to a family issue he was unable to attend. We were exceptionally lucky that Mr Peter Fraser (Chair of Clarion Trust Academy) was able to step in and perform the opening for us.

It was a brilliant opening event, the sun was shining, the outdoor area looked fantasic and many Parents/Carers and members of the community were able to join us to celebrate the Opening.

We have many people to thank: Clarion Academy Trust for their investment into our school which enabled the superb outdoor area become a reality: Adnams Community Trust, Cemnex and Ben Burgess for their generous contibutions: Mr Kirby (Hobart High School) for his tireless support and to Dan (Hobart High School) for ensuring all elements were ready for the opening: Mr Foreman ensuring the flora of the area was well manicured and looking it’s best: Mrs Hoadley for the Opening Cake: Mrs Binks for the fantastic bunting: Mr Ashdown-Nicol for the loan of his sound equipment: Mr Dickens, Mrs Hoadley, Miss Tuddenham and Mrs Vyse for their fantastic efforts serving refreshments to our guests and to the many Parents/Carers who provided cakes for the event.

Without the support of all these people the EYFS area and the Opening event would not have been the success it was.

A huge thank you from all staff and pupils.
